The drinking water supply system of Bailly - a town situated about 30km from Cap Haïtien - is being rehabilitated.

It is a collection system with a capacity for 18m3, running a distance of 5km... A reservoir capable of holding 48 m3 and eight fountains must be constructed to provide safe drinking water to 15,000 people. Due to the rugged landscape, pipes must be laid on twelve reinforced concrete supports. Funded to the tune of US $48,000 by MINUSTAH through its Quick Impact Projects (QIPs), the work will be carried out by a local organization, the Coordination des jeunes nationaux haïtiens pour l’avenir (CJENHA - Coordination for the Future by Young Haitian Nationals, in English), and should last three months.

Il s’agit d’un système de captage d’une capacité de 18m3, sur une distance de 5km. Un réservoir de 48 m3 et 8 fontaines doivent être construits pour distribuer de l’eau potable à 15 000 habitants. Enfin, en raison du paysage accidenté, les tuyaux sont posés sur 12 supports en béton armé. Financés à hauteur de 48.000 dollars US par la MINUSTAH dans le cadre de ses Projets à effet rapide (QIPs), ces travaux qui doivent durer 3 mois sont effectués par une organisation locale, la Coordination des jeunes nationaux haïtiens pour l’avenir (CJENHA).
