United Nations Secretary-General BAN Ki-moon today announced the appointment of Lieutenant General Edson Pujol of Brazil as Force Commander of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).

After being promoted to his present rank in 2011, he was assigned as Chief of the Army Intelligence Center, his most recent position.
