The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) has a requirement for the provision of Internet Service to small and medium size offices in Haiti.

The objective is to provide a range of internet services as a backup or activated on-demand in order to enable a quick deployment of reliable high speed voice, video, and data communication between MINUSTAH small and medium offices sites and the public internet.

The Contractor should be able to provide local connectivity between its network and eighteen MINUSTAH sites within Haiti, which are determined and updated based on operational requirement.

In addition the contractor should provide the necessary bandwidth for future growth requirement up to 10% of current bandwidth.

Internet traffic is to be unlimited and unrestricted, and the connectivity should be dedicated wired or wireless point-to-point broadband link.

The contractor will provide a single link per site, not multiple or aggregated links, containing the full bandwidth for each and every site. Each link should be installed and operated independent of the other links and should be terminated to fast or Gigabit Ethernet connection or provided as a hotspot at the point of termination.

In this regard, we would like to identify companies that would be interested to provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfil MINUSTAH’s requirements. If your company is capable of providing such services, then provide all relevant information including complete company details and experience profile (current or previous experience in contracts for the provision of services of similar scope and magnitude), services amount, contracting governmental or commercial organization/entity).

MINUSTAH will examine the outcome of this Request for Expression of Interest and will consider inviting those vendors who had expressed their interest by submitting all the required information, and/or retain the information in the MINUSTAH vendor roster for future solicitations, if any.

Companies interested to participate in the tender are requested to submit their Expression of Interest ON OR BEFORE 17 May 2013, via fax or e-mail address as indicated above. The EOI must include the following information:

• Name of the Company

• Postal and physical address

• Phone number

• Fax number

• E-mail address

• Name and title of the contact person

• Brief explanation on the background and experience of the Company including clients’ references.

This request for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage, soon after the closing date for this EOI. MINUSTAH reserves the right in selecting the companies to participate in the bidding. Responding to this EOI does not guarantee that such company will be invited to participate in the Solicitation when issued; and the UN reserves the right to change or cancel the procurement at any time during the REOI process or the formal Solicitation process.
