Port-au-Prince, 17 février 2015 - Au nom de la famille des Nations Unies en Haïti, la Représentante spéciale du Secrétaire général, Sandra Honoré, présente ses sympathies au gouvernement de la République d'Haïti et au peuple Haïtien pour l'accident tragique durant lequel 16 personnes ont perdu la vie et beaucoup d'autres ont été blessées le mardi 17 Février, lors des festivités carnavalesques à Port-au-Prince.

Elle présente ses sincères condoléances aux familles, aux proches et aux amis des victimes et souhaite un prompt rétablissement aux blessés.

Port-au-Prince, 17 February 2014 – On behalf of the United Nations family in Haiti, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Sandra Honoré, expresses her sympathy to the Government of the Republic of Haiti and the Haitian people over the tragic accident during the Carnival festivities in Port-au-Prince on Tuesday 17 February, in which 16 persons lost their lives and many others were injured.

She offers her deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery ".
