The commune of Maïssade, located 12 km from Hinche (in the Central Plateau), now has its own Magistrates' Court. With this new building comprising of five separate areas, judges are able to quit the small and inadequate room they used at the town's police station. Funded to the tune of US $55,500 by MINUSTAH, the construction of the new facilities is aimed at improving the working conditions of the judiciary. The initiative falls under the Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) scheme of the United Nations Mission, and will benefit the 43,000 inhabitants of this lively town in the Central Plateau.

Avec ce nouveau bâtiment de cinq pièces, les juges ont ainsi pu quitter en novembre la pièce exiguë qu’ils occupaient au sein du commissariat de police de la ville. Financée à hauteur de 55 500 dollars US par la MINUSTAH, la construction des nouveaux locaux vise à améliorer les conditions de travail des acteurs de la justice. L’initiative rentre dans le cadre des Projets à effet rapide (QIP).de la Mission onusienne et bénéficie aux 43.000 habitants de cette commune du Plateau central.
