In the heart of Cité Soleil, a ‘rural garden’ blossoms... The  Centre Communautaire Alternatif pour la Paix ‘Sakala’ (Alternative Community Center for Peace named 'Sakala’, in English) is an initiative of the youth of this problem area - who decided to outflank the bad reputation that sticks to the skin of Cité Soliel. While still the largest slum in the Haitian capital, members of the Centre have created an open space in the heart of the Cité - where people from various neighborhoods can meet-up. En plein cœur de Cité Soleil, fleurit un jardin rural. Le centre communautaire alternatif pour la paix ‘Sakala’ est l’initiative de jeunes de ce quartier défavorisé qui ont décidé de prendre à revers la mauvaise réputation qui colle à la peau de leur commune. Dans le plus grand bidonville de la capitale haïtienne, ils ont créé un espace ouvert où se retrouvent les habitants de quartiers divers.
